Maryland-Robotics

Team

UM Robotics is currently composed of more than 75 active undergraduate and graduate students, including Engineers in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, and Mechanical as well as Physics, Math and Computer Science majors. John Wyrwas is alumni and former President of the UMD Botball Team. He wanted to start a Robotics Club which did more than just Botball. He wanted the robots to have a direct application in industry and science. In the Spring of 2006 the Robotics Club was discussed and in Fall of 2006 the decision was made that AUVSI is the first competition to compete in. This club was founded in the Fall of 2006.
